Functional Fridays 5/17
Welcome to week 4!
Functional Friday week with Dr. Nick and Dr. Danny
Happy Friday! The Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins, New York Knicks, AND New York Rangers are all still in the playoffs (basketball and hockey). Which means Nick (Boston fan) and Danny (New York fan) may have to put their friendship on hold for a few weeks.
Inspiration:
Everyone’s jealous of what you’ve got, but no ones jealous of how you got there
A lot of times, people make assumptions that successful people just become successful (not mentioning any names…eh hem..Kim Kardashian) or that people who are in great shape have perfect genetics.
But most of the time, that’s not the case. What they don’t see is the long nights/early mornings, skipped meals, and empty bank account…the hard work, dedication, and effort. So keep on pushing and doing your thing, we see you!
If people experienced both sides of success, maybe they would appreciate what you’ve got, we sure do.
We’d love to hear your success stories! DM us on Instagram to share them!

Forward Physio Weekly Recap:
This week was a great week where Forward Physio met with some cool people and learned more than we expected.
First off, we met with Katie, owner of “The Recovery Lab”. Katie is a sports massage therapist located in “Game of Fitness” in St. Petersburg. She is incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and health conscious. She is not your average massage therapist, either. She utilizes techniques such as body tempering, A.R.T, and cupping. We highly recommend checking her out and booking with her if you’re in need of a massage, and chances are, you are.
Something else that we are trying to understand better ourselves is the utilization of AI. We met Eric, an individual who creates prompts for AI to help your business (sorry no link for Eric quite yet). This is something entirely new to us and is super intriguing. While we, like most others, don’t want our jobs to be taken or humanity to be taken over by AI (we don’t need a real life I Robot), we enjoyed learning about the potential for new careers and how AI can help the efficiency of your business.
Nick also participated in his first ever CrossFit workout at Burg Crossfit (where Forward Physio is also located 😉). He had both a great and terrible time. He can see how it can become addicting and how community forms so easily within that space. He also experienced the reason why people leave the word CrossFit out of their vocabulary and far away from their normal training routine. Nick, however enjoyed it more than he thought and returned the next day. Keep an eye out for his potential venture further into CrossFit.
Entertainment:
🐈⬛ Cat parents will relate — here’s Nick and his partner Jazmins’ menace (Nobara), casually lying in our baking dish
Nobara (Wild Rose in Japanese) also a character from JJK
☕️ When the baristas take their job functions very literally
📱 We all see that one person doing this in the gym (*Nick turns away*)
