Functional Fridays 5/31
We're half way through 2024??
Functional Friday week with Dr. Nick and Dr. Danny
Happy Friday! We are almost half way through the year 🤯 It's a good time to reflect back and see how many of your New Years resolutions you still haven’t started, for me , thats most of them. 😂 But resolutions are like Trac phone minutes, they roll over to next year, right?
Inspiration:
✨ Shiny Object Syndrome: As soon as something starts to get hard, something new looks easy, so you jump from the hard thing to the easy thing. So, really it’s just uninformed optimism, until you get into it then you have informed pessimism.
Danny and I have struggled with “Shiny Object Syndrome” on numerous occasions along our business journey. When things get difficult it’s easy to assume that it’s the exact task you don’t want to do that’s difficult, when in reality, most things are just difficult when you’re learning and starting out. We have little experience, of course it is! We don’t want to fail, especially in front of others.
Our natural tendency is to move on to the next thing or give up (before failing in front of others), and thats okay! But try to keep moving forward with the challenge in front of you; and when it gets more difficult, keep on going. Thats where the magic happens. You got this.

Forward Physio Weekly Recap:
This week Danny got to experience the magic of Katie, owner of The Recovery Lab, hands and massage techniques. Danny often talks about his lackluster experiences with past massages and is also a very difficult person to impress. However, Katie struck a chord and changed his perspective entirely, educating him on new massage techniques, performing a massage that actually felt refreshing, and providing insight on what makes her unique. If you feel as envious about Danny’s experience as I do, then book a massage with Katie, like me, and find out first hand why Katie is different.
RUN CLUB! This will never get old to talk about. Run Club brings incredible energy each and every week. You get to be part of a community, meet new people, exercise, be outside, and if you specifically do Pinellas Run Club, hang out at a brewery afterwards OR the beach! If running isn’t your thing, plenty of others walk/jog! There are plenty of run clubs now which go on different days at different times, so there are options for all! Pinellas Run Club is every Thursday 6:30 at a different location which is posted through their IG.
Nick and Danny were able to do a 2nd episode of “Trial and Error” where they went to Restore Hyper Wellness in Carrollwood. Here, they trialed an IV drip, cryotherapy (full body), local cryotherapy, and red light therapy. These wellness modalities all felt incredible and has us sleeping like a baby that night. Check out the video for more info on these modalities and to see our experiences as they happened!
