Happy Friday! We hope you had a great 4th of July! We’re getting into the thick of summer and you can certainly feel it in the air. Remember to stay hydrated!

2 quick tips:
DON’T SKIP YOUR WARMUP!
I know this may sound clichè, but a warmup will help to decrease risk of injury and prepare your body for the activity you’re about to do. A warmup can be a lot of different things but one thing it should not be is missing from your routine.

Remove barriers from a new habit you’re trying to form
Say you are trying to incorporate mobility for a warm up in your routine. The thought is great but execution can be challenging! Make sure you have plan — this will help you feel confident, understand why you’re doing it — this will encourage you to do it since you have a real reason, and don’t be afraid to fail — initially learning or incorporating new things can be difficult but if you understand failing is a part of learning you can go in with a bit more optimism and having learned something new about yourself. These are a few mental barriers to overcome but barriers are different for everyone. Whatever it is, try to identify it and remove it!
