1% better:

  • Don’t listen to respond, listen to understand

    • Research shows that patients only have 11 seconds before a doctor interrupts them…11 seconds! How could you ever fully understand what someone is going through in 11 seconds? You can’t. This can apply to a lot of situations though, not just healthcare. Next time you’re talking to someone, see if you're listening to respond or to understand.

Curious?: Chronic Stiffness

Do you have a feeling of chronic stiffness/tightness in your hamstrings, hips, calves? This is a common problem that many people experience, and if you read that and nodded your head yes, this may include you.

People frequently come to us at Forward Physio and often tell us that exactly.

“Yeah, my hamstrings have been chronically tight for years! I just have tight hamstrings” or “My hips just always feel tight, but I sit all day so thats probably why”. While those answers are not wrong by any means, what we find during our assessment may surprise you. Often times, these individuals do not even have tight hips, hamstrings, or calves…rather, they have weak hips, hamstrings, or calves!

We help you strengthen the muscles that feel tight and 💥 BOOM that chronic hamstring tightness that you’ve been dealing with for 5-10 years? Gone. The hip tightness you feel while sitting at your desk, 🪄 poof.

Of course, based on the principles of science, improving strength doesn’t happen overnight, but with a guided plan and consistency, rest assured your chronic tightness will all but disappear.

Below are two videos and a blog you can check out and try this on your own for a few days (consistency is key 🔑 ). These focus on hamstrings and calves, but the concept applies to most “tight” areas.
